Volunteer Opportunities

Sign up for the Full Weekend Crew or for a day, and choose from a variety of roles, listed below, to help make this year’s ride a success. Does your church, work, civic group, or other organization want to get involved? We have great opportunities for groups to have fun and volunteer together.

Volunteers can raise funds for multiple sclerosis too! When you sign up online, you can build your own web page and receive the same fundraising incentives as the riders.

 Volunteer Opportunities:

- Participant Check-in/Packet Pickup (distribute packets & T-shirts day of event)

- Event Site Support (set up/breakdown/overall maintenance of event site)

- Parking Direction (direct cars to appropriate parking – great for large groups!)

- Event Site Guide (direct participants around event site)

- Meal Support (set-up, distribution, clean-up)

- Rest Stop Support (set up provided materials, distribute goods & cheer on participants)

- Route Marking (place signs along the route so riders know where they are going)

- Support and Gear Vehicle (SAG) – DMV background check required (drive sections of route in support of riders, pick up cyclists as needed – must have bike rack)

- Truck Driver – DMV background check required (drop off & pick up rest stop materials along route)

- Truck Buddy (assist Truck Driver)

- Medical Support (MDs, RNs, LPNs, EMTs, etc. – at event site and at rest stops)

- Team Photographer (official photos for teams participating in the event)

- General Photographer (overall event photos)

- Start/Finish Line Cheerleader

- Sunday Event Site Breakdown

- Sunday Truck Unloading (at NMSS office)
